Northern Gannets on Heligoland

For many years, a breeding colony of northern gannets has existed on Heligoland. These fascinating flyers dive vertically into the sea from a height of around 30 m to catch fish. They are easy to photograph on Heligoland because you can pass very close to them on the circular path. When there is a strong headwind, they sometimes appear to be in the air in front of the photographer!
